Woman With Sturdy Shoes #3: House Keeper
Here's the latest canvas off the easel.
So far all of the paintings for this series, including this one, have measured 30"h x 24"w, except for Tippy-Toe #2, which is quite a bit smaller. The canvas currently awaiting my mark making is 40"h x 30"w and looms over me as my easel won't adjust any lower. It looks rather menacing right now and seems to be daring me to just go on and try to fill it. I'm going to be standing on a footstool to tackle it - wish me luck and good balance.
Ta-ta-for-now.

Sneak Peek
Side tracked by jewellery-making
My beaded glass jewellery works have been juried into the Surrey Art Centre gift shop, so I've been busy this week completing long beaded ropes with matching earrings. I've decided to create another blog just for jewellery, so look for it on a sidebar next week.
I'll be working in the studio painting today and will post an image this afternoon (either a detail, or completed painting).
Ciao

Still painting...
Well, I was hoping to post an image of Tippy-Toe Prayer #2 today, however, I was sidetracked by Winged Mother With Sturdy Shoes #4, so neither one is quite finished. Tune in to this blog next week - hopefully I'll have 2 images to post.

Painting, painting...
I am currently working on several paintings and hope to have one ready for posting by the end of this week. The reason I'm working on so many at once is that this busy process of painting for a deadline has energized me to such a degree that ideas are popping into my head quickly and I want to get them onto canvas before the next idea materializes. So my studio is an incredible mess with sketched in canvases leaning upright against every available and semi-available surface; quite the obstacle course trying to get to the easel - but I'm loving it!
I hope you're feeling as energized as I am. Next posting: Tippy-Toe Prayer #2
